Professor Maan Bou Saber
Professor Maan Bou Saber is an esteemed legal professional, registered at the Beirut Bar Association since 1972 and at the Paris Bar Association since 1993. With his profound expertise in banking law and arbitration, Professor Bou Saber serves as an invaluable External Consultant to Equity.
Throughout his illustrious career, Professor Bou Saber has represented prestigious financial institutions such as Bank Audi, Bank of Beirut, Bank Infi, and the Lebanese Banking Association. He has also provided legal counsel to Credit Lyonnais (Egypt). His extensive experience in the banking sector positions him as a trusted advisor and advocate for his clients.
In 2015, Professor Bou Saber was appointed as the President of the Disciplinary Committee of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon at The Hague, Netherlands, further showcasing his prominence in the field of international law. He has also been recognized as an Honorary Member of the Lexis Nexis Gulf Group, highlighting his outstanding contributions to the legal community.
Professor Bou Saber's passion for academia is evident through his extensive teaching experience. He has served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Saint Joseph University in Lebanon, the University of Paris II, Pantheon-Assas, and the Filiere Francophone de Droit in Lebanon. In addition, he founded and served as the dean of the Faculty of Law at Saint Joseph University in Dubai and the dean of the Faculty of Law at Notre-Dame University in Lebanon. In 2022, Professor Bou Saber was appointed as a visiting professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he shares his wealth of knowledge with aspiring legal professionals.
Professor Bou Saber's impressive academic background includes a bachelor's degree in law from Saint Joseph University - Lebanon in 1971, a Masters' Degree in Advanced Studies in Private Law from the Faculty of Comparative Law - Strasbourg, France in 1974, a Masters' in Private Law from the University of Lyon III - France in 1976, and a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Paris II - France with honors.
